0602A – Baby Sign Language (based on ASL)
In this 8 week course based on Joseph Garcia’s Sign With Your Baby program, participants will learn published benefits of signing with preverbal hearing infants, practice modeling first signs and discover how to create optimal learning opportunities in daily activities, music and story time. Participants will learn optimal ways to communicate with their infants about their daily activities including eating, diaper time, getting dressed, bedtime, family signs, colors, nature and weather, animals and more. Children who would benefit most from this program are from 6 months to 2 years of age, although it’s never too early or late to learn. Infants are thoroughly welcome in class. Joseph Garcia’s Complete Learning Kit which includes a book, DVD video, and Quick Reference Guide are required for the course and are available the first night of class for $45 payable to the instructor.
