In this course you will discover how to find the right agent and publisher, to compose an effective query letter, to prepare and submit a manuscript, the advantages and disadvantages of alternate methods of publishing, and securing a favorable publishing contract. 0708A – YOU’RE ON THE AIR (How to Really Make it in Voice-Overs!)
(A One-time 2 Hour Program)
Voice-overs are hot today! You don’t have to be an actor to get voice-over work, but it certainly doesn’t hurt! With such notable talent as James Earl Jones, Linda Hunt, and Donald Sutherland lending their voices to commercials, films, and videos, one would think that it would be next to impossible to break into this field. Not so! In this class you’ll learn about an exciting new way to get around the competition and actually turn voice-overs into a thriving full or part-time business! Dan Levine, a well-known commercial producer and Tony Award-nominated Broadway composer will discuss voice-over technique in a recorded portion of the class. James Benedetti, successful voice-over artist, will introduce students to the voice-over business as a whole. He will talk about the numerous opportunities, the income potential, and the all-important demo and how to have it produced. You’ll step up to the microphone to do some practice recording, and best of all, hear the results! Limit 40 students.

This course provides the necessary skills and knowledge needed for proper procedures coding CPTICD-9-CM coding of medical services. Learn to bill insurance plans (Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, PPO, Point of Service and Indemnity Plans). Gather the proper information to file third party claims. Get paid the first time around; learn techniques for billing all medical specialties, including anesthesiology, radiology and general medicine. This class includes the latest medical terminology needed in the medical field. The cost of two textbooks and one workbook is about $150. 0714A - LEAVING THE INTERVIEW WITH YOUR SANITY
Have you ever left a job interview knowing that you really made a mess of things? Interviewing is not inherited, it is a learned skill, and often what lies between you and that once-in-a-lifetime job is how well you perform in that interview room. With this course you will learn skills that can help you over that very stressful time, from knowing where to find ads, to writing resumes, to acing that all-important interview. Learn to fly! Prerequisite: need an interest in learning more about flying. There is no age limit. The class will prepare the student for the FAA knowledge test and give insight into the fun of flying. Books and supplies will be available in class for approximately $65.
